You can find discounted
attraction tickets at a number of different places including local
hotel, motels and resorts and many Wisconsin Parks & Recreation
Departments. We also saw tickets for sale at Piggly Wiggly and
Kelly Williamson stores in Wisconsin in 2006.
The
drawbacks
to this way
of saving money in Wisconsin Dells are that only a select few
attractions are available at a discount and the discounts are
relatively small, usually about 15-20%.
This might be a good way to get your Noah's Ark and Mt Olympus
tix later in the summer when their coupons are only $4 off, but
you'll still want to get your
Wisconsin Dells
Coupon Book for the other
100+ merchants
out there who don't offer discounted tickets and for all the
2-for-1 and 50
% off deals.

If you've been to
Wisconsin Dells, then chances are you've seen the booths offering
discounted attraction tickets. The way this program works is
that the more attractions you buy up front, the bigger the discount
you receive, anywhere from 15-35%. There are several reasons we don't
think this is the way to go:
First, unless you buy
tickets for 5-7 different attractions, you wouldn't save any more
money than you would just picking up the individual discounted
attraction tickets as mentioned and explained above (under "Discounted
Attraction Tickets).
Secondly, this program
requires that you buy all your tickets ahead of time and the tickets
are non-refundable. So if for some reason your trip gets cut
short or the weather is bad or you just run out of time for whatever
reason, you run the risk of getting stuck with the tickets and losing
more money than you thought you saved.
And finally it's worth
noting that in 2006, there were only 11 participating attractions in
this program, so again, you'll have to look elsewhere to things like
the
Wisconsin Dells
Coupon Book
for discounts for the other 100+ businesses in
the Dells.
